The chimney in this house had been removed in the loft. We used a flexi liner to line the remaining chimney then connected it to some black Dinak insulated twin wall pipe to bring the chimney up to the correct height.
- Removing the old gas fire.
- We found a newspaper from 1979 stuffed in behind the surround as a spacer, So I guess the gas fire was fitted then.
- Shaun cleaning out the recess.
- Bricks cleaned using acid.
- The bricks on the side of the recess were very damaged so we lined it with cement board.
- The front also lined so we could get a good corner where the bricks had been damaged.
- Beading on and undercoat of plaster
- adapting the roof to acheive the correct distance to combustibles.
- Flashing and storm collar
- Rain cap on top of 2 metres of pipe

- Testing and commissioning the stove.
