Breakout and installation of Mendip Loxton 5

We finished this installation of a Mendip Loxton 5 multi fuel stove on a Brazilian slate hearth with a oak beam last week. I really like the Mendip Loxton range, they are well price, Defra approved and don’t require a constructional hearth.

A breakout and chimney extension

The chimney in this house had been removed in the loft. We used a flexi liner to line the remaining chimney then connected it to some black Dinak insulated twin wall pipe to bring the chimney up to the correct height.

Selkirk STC twin wall and Mendip 5se

The customer here wanted two fireplaces opened up, and both chimneys prepared to fit woodburners. The chimneys had been taken down in the loft, so we used Selkirk twin wall to go from the top of the brick stack in the loft up to the correct termination height. The lounge had a slate hearth and Mendip 5se installed.
